Events Terms and Conditions
Event Name: JoyRace 5km Social Run to Celebrate Diversity and Inclusion Week

By registering for and participating in this event, you agree to the following terms and conditions
1.Eligibility
Participants must be aged [insert age, e.g. 16+] on the day of the event. Minors must have consent from a parent or legal guardian.
• All participants must be physically fit and medically able to complete the 5K course.
2. Registration
• Entry is only valid once payment has been received in full.
• Entries are non-transferable and non-refundable, except as stated below.
• You agree to provide accurate, up-to-date information during registration
3. Cancellation, Changes & Refunds
The organiser reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the event due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. weather, safety concerns, government restrictions).
• In the event of cancellation, we will provide a refund or transfer your entry to a future event, at our discretion.
• No refunds will be given for no-shows or voluntary withdrawals
4. Race Conduct
Participants must follow the instructions of marshals and event staff at all times.
• Any unsportsmanlike behavior may result in disqualification.
• Headphones are discouraged for safety reasons. If worn, participants must remain aware of surroundings
5. Health & Safety
• You acknowledge the risks associated with participating in a physical event and confirm you are medically fit to run.
• You are responsible for your own safety and well-being during the event.
• Emergency medical support will be available on-site
6. Social Event
• The post-race social is open to participants and, where applicable, guests.
• Alcohol may be served; ID may be required. Please drink responsibly.
• The organiser accepts no liability for personal property or injuries occurring during the social portion of the event.
7.Photography & Media
• By entering the event, you consent to being photographed or filmed, and for images or videos to be used by the organiser for promotional purposes, without compensation.
• If you do not wish to appear in promotional material, please inform a member of staff prior to the event.
8. Liability
• You participate entirely at your own risk.
• The organiser is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage sustained during the event unless due to negligence on our part.
• You are advised to have your own personal insurance if desired.
9. Data Protection
• Personal data collected during registration will be used only for event administration and communication.
• We will not share your data with third parties without your consent, except where required by law
10. Code of Conduct
• Discrimination, harassment, or abusive behavior of any kind will not be tolerated.
• We are committed to a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants and staff
11. Agreement
